About Baby X-Ray

Baby X-Ray (the "baby xray prank" a lot of parents search for) is a small, playful web toy: pick a body part, pick a pretend result, and watch a friendly sci-fi scan animation turn into an encouraging, made-up "report" for your kid. Nothing here is a real medical device or a real test.

Who built this

This site was built and is maintained by Md. Hasibur Rahman, a DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer. Day to day that means cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, live streaming platforms and database operations — Baby X-Ray is a smaller, consumer-facing side project built in the same spare time, for fun rather than for a client.

Connect on LinkedIn — always happy to hear from other parents who tried it, or other engineers curious about how it's put together.

How it's built

The app itself is a React, TypeScript and Vite single-page app styled with Tailwind CSS, with a bilingual (English/Bengali) translation layer built from scratch rather than a heavier i18n framework. It's shipped as a static build served by a self-hosted Docker + nginx stack, sitting behind Cloudflare for DNS, TLS and edge caching. No backend, no accounts, no database — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that means for your data.

Why it exists

Partly: because a glowing scan-line animation with a beep sound effect is a genuinely fun five minutes for a kid. Partly: as an excuse to build something playful, end to end, outside of infrastructure work — a different kind of project for the same portfolio. If it also makes brushing teeth or eating vegetables a little more fun in your house, even better.
